Rigidity

What is rigidity? It is harshness. It is hardness. It is cruelty. It is strictness. It is toughness. It is unkindness. It is abuse. Rigidity in most forms leads to abuse of some kind. I believe it was Fredrick Nietzsche that said, “It is not flexibility of thought but RIGIDITY of thought that causes irrationality and stupidity.”  I see then that changing your mind, in other words, being more flexible rather than more rigid, should be something we see as a success rather than a failure. It should be admired (because not everyone will change) rather than being made to be an embarrassment.  And it should be celebrated rather than ridiculed. It is from the perspective that things in life are rigid rather than flexible that abuse, in ANY form, comes from.

Namaste, my friends.
