Still Broken

Smashed in to smithereens, shattered like glass, fragmented and torn, splintered into pieces, caused pain, snapped like a twig, torn like a piece of clothing, ruptured like an appendix, toxic like acid, severed like a limb, separated and isolated, destroyed your self-worth, wrecked like a ship, demolished like an old building, disintegrated like old papers, cracks and split in two, chipped away at, injured by, maimed and ruined, fractured and broken, damaged goods and people.

And this is why we are still broken as a nation, as a culture, and as a community.
