To heal means to alleviate, “fix”, mend, rejuvenate, harmonize, make whole, soothe, restore, to repair and improve. Healing does not mean we are actually “broken.” We may feel broken. And this is part of healing. Just like with a physical wound, the actual wound happens very quickly. Say you cut yourself with a knife. The wound is in the present moment. It happens in the now. However, healing is a process. And processes take time. Therefore healing one’s self, whether in the physical, emotional, spiritual sense, or all of them, healing will take time. And it is during this time that we must learn to take care of ourselves, so our bodies, our minds, and our spirits can do what they do best, heal.
Namaste, my friends.
