Denial is like a river. Once you start denying yourself about what you are actually feeling, what you are actually seeing, hearing, experiencing, the river starts to take over. It starts as a small pond. Then it moves out and starts to become a small stream. Then it starts to pick up speed. It then becomes a bigger stream. Then it moves into a small river. Then it moves into a bigger river with rapids. Then the rapids become bigger and harder to manage. Then the river moves into a huge river that one cannot seem to get out from. The rapids become bigger and bigger. Then there are waterfalls. And they become bigger and bigger. Until you are swept away by the river of denial. Unless, you can recognize that the river is only in your head.
Namaste, my friends.
