We all have them. What I call “fake fears.” Things we are “afraid of” that are not actually in the present moment with us. Maybe we are worried about being rejected on a job interview though we have not even had the interview. Maybe we are afraid someone won’t like us but we haven’t even spoken to them yet. And the list goes on and on and on. It is through our self awareness of our thoughts and what is happening to us in the present moment that helps us determine if what we are feeling is actually a real fear or a just a fake fear. In other words, we need to slow our process down so we can more accurately assess what is happening in the moment and make better decisions on how to react. We cannot control our emotions. That is impossible. But we can learn how we react to our emotions so we stop fighting fake fears and facing our real fears.
Namaste, my friends.
Want to learn how to recognize your “fake fears” in the moment? The answer is with horses. Horses are an amazing way to help us figure out what are real fears and what are fake fears by mirroring us. Horses have this incredible, natural way of reflecting what is going on inside ourselves to help us learn how to reconnect with our true, authentic selves, in a non-judgmental way.
