What is clean communication? Why is it so powerful? Clean communication is where you say what you mean and you mean what you say. You are self aware of what you are thinking and feeling in order to say cleanly what you want and/or need to another person. For many people, they “play word games.” They “dance around” what they want/need. They imply things. They say one thing and then another thing and the 2 do not match up. They may blame and shame others rather than owning their “stuff.” And many other ways of communicating that are “dirty.” Clean communication is powerful because you are not wasting time and energy trying to convince someone of something or to be heard. You use your self awareness and choice of words consciously to convey your message with the least amount of “dirt in the way.” This is powerful because you are coming from an authentic place within self. There is self confidence, self worth and self awareness that is conveyed through your words to another person. Clean communication must be learned because for most of us, we were taught variations of “dirty communication.” And we wonder why we are not heard and accepted by others? Just something to ponder.
