How often do you notice you are not fully breathing? That you are in fact holding your breath or just barely breathing? How often do you stop and just breathe? Breathe all the way into your lungs? All the way into your whole body? How often do you just breathe to help you release tension? How often do you just breathe to allow yourself a quiet moment before plunging into the next item on your “to do” list? How often? For most of us, the answer to that question is NOT often enough. We are always running around. Running from this place to that place. Jumping from one task to another task. Always wanting/having to get “more done.” So what if you took 30 seconds or even less to just breathe? To slow down for a brief moment? How would that help you actually get MORE accomplished rather than less? So pay attention to how much you hold your breath and then just breathe for the moment.
Namaste, my friends.
