Acknowledgement means to recognize something; to know that it is present. And yet for most of us we do not acknowledge the most important thing in our lives. Our emotions. We have been conditioned to avoid and ignore most of our emotions. Positive or negative. However, without acknowledgement of our emotions, we just stuck in a vicious cycle of avoidance, overload and toxic release. And for a short time period we “feel better.” Until the cycle starts all over again. And the cycle will continue until we start to acknowledge our emotions rather than stuff and hide from them. Acknowledgement of one’s emotions is the start of the process of moving through one’s emotions rather than being stuck in the emotions. So, what can you do today to start acknowledging your emotions? Remember that acknowledgement means to recognize not avoid.
Namaste, my friends.
