When we become burned out, life’s challenges can seem even more overwhelming. The littlest things can rub us the wrong way. Things that would not normally bother us. And yet, when we are burned out, we become more on edge, more cranky, more defensive. It is when we start to notice these changes, that we must “push pause” and take inventory of ourselves and our lives. We need to take a break. We need to engage in more self care or just self care in general. We need to acknowledge that we are burned out and that it is okay to stop and take a break. It may even mean shifting things in your life to make more “me” time or work less hours or whatever it may be that will help you move out of burned out to moving forward. You cannot start a fire with a used match.
Namaste, my friends.
