Save Me

We all want someone to save us. We see how the knight in shining armor comes into save the damsel in distress. The heroine of the story saves the day and the town. And yet, those are just stories. The only one that can save us is ourselves. I’m sorry to burst your bubble, but that is the truth. Now, we need people around us to support us as we battle to save ourselves. However, if we wait or count on others to save us, it is them that gets saved and we end up drowning. Life is tough. And I am the only one that lives in my body. That knows what I need and want. And it is up to me to save myself by taking care of myself for myself. Because once I save myself, and know how to do that in a healthy way, then I can support others as they learn how to save themselves. And that process creates a healthier herd. Partnership rather than survivorship.

Just something to think about.

Namaste, my friends.
